Now is the time to dive straight into our newest and most competitive game mode to date: KMON Sit & Play Tournaments. 

KMON Sit & Play? What’s that? Well, it's a shorter, faster and more competitive way of playing KMON than ever before. It is the Alpha version of our upcoming official tournaments. Multiple 8 player closed events for our beloved trainers all over the world. Unlike Gamenights, they take place on a specific day for an hour and a half.
They are the first KMON events with an entry fee in $KMON from participants, creating the most rewarding format you guys have ever seen!

Our progress through the Game Nights have given us the  possibility to compete in different levels, with different rules, varying prizes and endless surprises. This path has set the perfect foundation to kickstart our next big project. KMON Sit & Play Tournaments will thus include events based on all our competitive ranks, with and without the use of Armor/Battle Consumables add-ons and varying entry fees in $KMON. So get your Kryptomons ready as it is your turn to battle!

Stay tuned to learn how to fill out the registration form as soon as it becomes available. We will be using Telegram, Discord, TrainerHub and socials to keep everyone up to date.

With this testrun, we are exploring different formats and rules to see which work best and which you will love the most for our upcoming competitive KMON Tournaments.Once we have received 8 or more interested participants from the registration form, we will notify every tranche of 8 individuals informing them that they have secured a potential spot in the tournament.

I hope you’re doing great! Following my recent promise to keep in touch and involve you guys more in the activities and decisions we are making, today is the day to share some awesome news.

I am pleased to announce our latest experiment - the KMON Trading Card Game! Yep, you heard it right. We are diving into the world of card games and launching our very own KMON Card Game. Or at least a first experiment to explore and better understand its potential. 

‍

I can't contain my enthusiasm for this project, and let me tell you why. As a kid, I was obsessed with card games like Pokémon and Yugioh, and now we're about to bring that same thrill to the table with KMON! Picture yourself walking into a store this fall and the first thing you see is a pack of KMON cards… yes, you heard it right. Real cards! Awesome, right?

So, let's get into the nitty-gritty. Our Head of Merch, Davide, had this brilliant idea to create the KMON Trading Card Game. And guess what? We're making it happen! This project is a big deal because it's going to:

• Boost our brand visibility
• Expand the KMON franchise
• Open up exciting new commercial opportunities for us

When Davide brought up the concept, I was all in for it! And now, only a few months later, we're actually turning this vision into a reality.

‍

Now, you must be wondering how this whole thing will work. We're going to kick things off with a test run of the KMON Trading Card game in Italy. If all goes well, we'll roll it out to other regions too.

‍

We've teamed up with our publishing partner in Italy, Chimpanzee, and together, we're going to select 56 Kryptomons to feature on these cards. And here's where it gets interesting: we want to involve our community in the decision-making process! As a web3 community-focused company, we want YOU to be a part of this journey. That's why we're launching Experiment TCG: KMON Card Game Contest (fancy name, but basically a beauty contest) to choose the cards that will be a part of the first test edition of KMON cards!

Contest Instructions:

• Contest Duration: Wednesday, July 19th, 1 PM UTC to Sunday 23rd, 3 PM UTC.
• How to Submit: Submit your Kryptomon images + Kryptomon IDs + Kryptomon names in separate tweets on Twitter. Make sure to tag @KryptomonTeam and use both #KMONCardGame and #KMON hashtags. 
• You can submit as many tweets as you want, but remember to keep each Kryptomon in a separate tweet.

• Submission Deadline: You have until July 23rd, 3 PM UTC to submit your Kryptomons.
• Compilation, Sharing, and Voting: Public voting will start on Tuesday, 25th. We'll compile all the submissions into a Facebook photo album for everyone to view. To vote for your favorite Kryptomons, simply react to each image in the album with an emoji.
• Selection Criteria: The 56 Kryptomons with the most votes will be the lucky winners (7 from each element).
• Selected Kryptomons Announcement: We'll announce the selected Kryptomons on July 31st. The winning Kryptomons will be a part of the first test run of the KMON Game Cards.

But wait, there's more! We're considering adding some cool gameplay mechanics, like legendary cards that can be traded for an NFT or in-game items earned after collecting a certain number of cards. We also recognize the importance of revenue sharing, and while we haven't finalized the details, we're exploring options like performance-based distribution or special privileges for those whose Kryptomon gets featured on the cards. We want to ensure fairness and inclusivity every step of the way.

This is a huge deal for us, and no matter how the test/pilot goes, we'd love to see you jump in and submit your own Kryptomons to be featured on the KMON Cards. It's a big step in growing the KMON brand, and we can't do it without you.

Kryptomon Trainers, get ready for the most thrilling and rewarding KMON experience yet! Say hello to Sit & Play, our brand-new series of tournaments designed exclusively for our players.

‍

We’re not holding back as we launch the most epic showdown in the history of competitive KMON battles. These tournaments are not just ordinary events, they are the dawn of a new era, promising sheer excitement and fierce competition. 

‍

But that’s not all. Sit & Play is merely the alpha of our official tournaments (which will come later on). We’re shaping an unprecedented KMON format that will redefine the very essence of rewarding and competitive gameplay.

What makes Sit & Play even more thrilling? They are very short in nature, taking place on a specific day and lasting only an hour and a half.

And here's the game-changer – we're introducing entry fees in $KMON for the very first time. By entering, you'll not only have a shot at epic glory but also contribute to the $KMON reward and prize structure. The stakes are higher than ever, and so are the rewards!

KMON Sit & Play Tournaments will include events based on all our competitive Kryptomon ranks, with and without the use of Armor/Battle Consumables and varying entry fees in $KMON.

Registration and Payment Process:

To participate, follow these simple steps:

‍

• Registration Step #1:
  The registration form will be available on our Trainer Hub and our Telegram/Discord channels.  Once we have received 8 or more interested participants from the registration form, we will notify every separate group of 8 individuals via direct message informing them that they have acquired a potential spot in the tournament. Players are NOT required to send in their entry fee during this first step of registration. They will be required to hand in their Telegram/Discord username, their participating Kryptomon ID’s (total of maximum 4 Kryptomons) and their game associated wallet.

• Registration Step #2: Secure Your Spot
  Contacted participants will then have 24hrs to send their $KMON entry fee to confirm their spot on an official KMON Company dedicated Sit & Play wallet. 

‍

Filling Available Spots:
In case a participant changes their mind or fails to make the payment within the allocated time, we will offer the opportunity to the next players on the registration list, following the order of their registration.

‍

Tournament Duration:

Given the nature of 8-player tournaments, each event will consist of 7 matches. We have scheduled a specific day for the tournament, which will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. This time frame allows for engaging conversation and intense gameplay, making it a well-balanced and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Note: Please be aware that for the inaugural tournament on the 5th of August, the Kryptomon Rank will be set to Hero, and Armor and Battle Consumables will NOT be allowed during the matches.

• Players: Each tournament will feature 8 participants, and we will host an infinite number of tournaments.
• Player Entry Fee: The entry fee is $5 in $KMON.
• Registration Form Release: The registration form will be available from 28th to 30th July 2023.
• Secure Your Spot Round 1: Make the entry fee payment by 1st August 2023.
• Secure Your Spot Round 2: The final chance to secure your spot by making the entry fee payment is on 2nd August 2023.
• Tournament Date: The inaugural KMON Sit & Play Tournament will take place on 5th August at 12 pm UTC.
• Additional Notes: 

• Rank: The tournament will set the Kryptomon Rank to Hero, making it open to all ranks.
• Armor and Battle Consumables: Armor and Battle Consumables will not be allowed, ensuring fair and skillful gameplay.

Reward Structure:

The prizes for the tournament will be determined based on the $KMON value at the moment of registration. With attractive rewards up for grabs, you have every reason to give your best and aim for victory.

Notes: 

1. Prizes are all approximate based on $KMON value at the moment of registration.
2. Players that lose in the 3rd and 4rth position will receive half of their entry fee back. The runner up will receive a $3.50 in $KMON profit over his entry fee and the winner will receive $17.50 in $KMON profit over his entry fee.
